RESEARCH STUDIES
Research is an important aim of the Fear and Anxiety Disorders Clinic. We are dedicated to increasing understanding of the anxiety disorders, to determine the mechanism of distress and better target treatment of these problems. Grant awards from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) support our work. Research of this nature is conducted continuously and most individuals seeking assessment or treatment at the Psychology Clinic participate in these studies.
Volunteers Needed for a Study of Emotion
Individuals evaluated at the FADC participate in a study of emotion and health. If you qualify for this study, you will be compensated up to $250. Study participants will undergo a psychological interview, complete several basic questionnaires, view pictures, and imagine pleasant and unpleasant scenes while physiological measurements are being taken. We are looking for individuals who are 18-65 years old. For more information, call Vanessa at (352) 392-1037.
